Business Development (Mandarin Speaker)

Responsibilities

• Find, evaluate, and build relationships with suppliers and business partners in China.

• Communicate and negotiate prices, product specifications, order quantities, payment terms, and delivery schedules.

• Manage orders and monitor production until the goods are ready to ship.

• Coordinate with surveyors on goods inspections and required documents.

• Coordinate with freight forwarders to arrange shipments, track goods, and manage their arrival in Indonesia.

• Prepare and check import documents and coordinate customs clearance with relevant parties.

• Check that received goods match the ordered quantities, specifications, and condition, and follow up with suppliers on any issues or claims.

• Use BigSeller to manage product data, orders, and inventory.

• Prepare reports on order progress, purchasing and shipping costs, and delivery status.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Management, or a related field.

• Good spoken and written Mandarin for business communication and negotiation.

• Experience in import, procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or business development involving Chinese suppliers.

• An understanding of the purchasing and import process from China to Indonesia, from placing orders to receiving goods.

• Familiarity with international trade documents, including purchase orders, commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading or air waybills.

• An understanding of customs procedures and experience coordinating with surveyors, freight forwarders, and import service providers.

• Ability to use BigSeller and Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

• Good negotiation, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

• Detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and able to manage several orders at the same time.

• Experience sourcing products for e-commerce businesses is a plus.
