Business Development (Mandarin Speaker)

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious Business Development professional with fluent Mandarin language skills to join PT SINO INDONESIA TCM COOPERATION CENTRE on a part-time basis. This role is based in South Jakarta, Jakarta, and offers an exciting opportunity to drive new business growth and expansion within our organisation. As a Business Development professional, you will be instrumental in identifying, pursuing and securing new business opportunities that align with our strategic objectives. Your ability to communicate effectively in Mandarin will be a key differentiator, enabling you to build strong relationships with Chinese-speaking clients and partners in the traditional Chinese medicine sector.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, research and pursue new business opportunities within the traditional Chinese medicine and related sectors

• Build and maintain relationships with prospective clients, partners and stakeholders, leveraging your Mandarin language proficiency to engage Chinese-speaking business contacts

• Prepare and deliver compelling business proposals, presentations and pitches to potential clients

• Conduct market analysis and competitor research to inform business development strategy

• Collaborate with internal teams to understand service offerings and tailor solutions for new business opportunities

• Negotiate terms and close new business deals to meet or exceed targets

• Maintain comprehensive records of sales activities, pipeline development and client interactions

• Attend industry events, exhibitions and networking functions to generate leads and establish market presence

What we're looking for

• Fluent Mandarin language skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to conduct business negotiations and communications in Mandarin

• Proven experience in new business development, sales or a similar role within a B2B or professional services environment

• Strong understanding of the traditional Chinese medicine industry or related healthcare/wellness sectors

• Demonstrated ability to identify market opportunities and develop business strategies to capitalise on them

• Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong client relationships

• Self-motivated and results-driven approach with a strong track record of achieving sales or business development targets

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems, with strong organisational skills

• Ability to work independently on a part-time basis whilst maintaining high standards of professionalism

• Knowledge of Indonesian business culture and market practices is preferred
