Business Development Trainee

About the Role

We are looking for motivated and results-driven Business Development Trainees to join our immediate delivery business team. This role is ideal for fresh graduates and early-career professionals who are interested in sales, business development, and the logistics industry.

You will be responsible for acquiring new merchant partners across the Greater Jakarta area, building strong business relationships, and driving merchant transaction growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct field visits and develop new merchant partnerships across the food and beverage, retail, supermarket, and other business sectors.

• Proactively approach potential clients, conduct business negotiations, and support merchant onboarding and contract signing.

• Maintain strong relationships with existing merchants to improve engagement, transaction volume, and business performance.

• Conduct market and competitor research to identify business opportunities and provide feedback on merchant needs.

• Achieve monthly targets for merchant acquisition, active merchants, and transaction value.

• Participate in structured training, mentorship, and rotational development programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above; fresh graduates and candidates with 1–2 years of work experience are welcome to apply.

• Native Indonesian speaker with fluent English communication skills. Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.

• Previous experience or internships in field sales, business development, marketing, or customer acquisition is preferred.

• Willing to work in the field across Greater Jakarta and independently conduct cold visits to potential clients.

• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

• Target-oriented, proactive, self-disciplined, and able to work under pressure.

• Flexible and adaptable to a dynamic working environment.

• Familiarity with the local merchant landscape is an advantage.
