About the role

Legends Bistro Bar & Sports is seeking an experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team in Bali. This is a full-time position based at our vibrant venue, where you will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. As Chef, you will be responsible for leading food preparation, maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation, and creating memorable meals that reflect our commitment to excellence in the hospitality and tourism industry.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and plating standards

• Oversee food preparation and ensure all dishes meet our quality and presentation standards

• Manage kitchen operations, including inventory control, food ordering, and stock rotation

• Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards in compliance with local health regulations

• Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring consistency and adherence to cooking techniques

• Develop and create new menu items and specials that complement our existing offerings

• Liaise with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction

• Monitor food costs and portion control to maintain profitability

• Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment at all times

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Chef or Head Cook in a busy restaurant or hospitality establishment

• Proficiency in a variety of cooking techniques and cuisines, with flexibility to adapt to different culinary styles

• Strong knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene practices and kitchen health regulations

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Leadership qualities and the ability to motivate and manage kitchen team members effectively

• Creativity and innovation in menu development and food presentation

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all departments

• Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications preferred

• Experience working in international or tourist-destination restaurants is advantageous
