Captain Restaurant

Key responsibilities

1. Oversee all aspects of restaurant service operations, including table management and guest seating arrangements

2. Lead and supervise restaurant staff to ensure efficient and courteous service delivery

3. Welcome and greet guests, taking orders and providing recommendations from the menu

4. Ensure all dishes are served promptly and to the correct guests with attention to detail

5. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience and address any concerns professionally

6. Maintain knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to assist guests

7. Manage table turnover and optimise seating arrangements during service periods

8. Train and mentor junior staff on service standards and hospitality best practices

9. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the dining area

10. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth coordination between front and back of house

11. Handle special requests and complaints with professionalism and discretion

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience as a Restaurant Captain or similar senior service role in a busy hospitality environment

2. Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and manage a team effectively

3. Excellent communication skills in English and Indonesian (fluency in both languages preferred)

4. In-depth knowledge of fine dining service standards and etiquette

5. Outstanding customer service skills with a genuine passion for hospitality

6. Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure during peak service times

7. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of service

8. Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays

9. Physical capability to stand for extended periods and move efficiently around the restaurant

10. Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including wine and cocktail pairings (desirable)

11. Experience working in upscale restaurants or hospitality establishments (preferred)
