Cafe All Rounder

About the role

An All Arounder Server & Cashier role with backup barista responsibilities. The primary focus is on delivering excellent customer service, accurately processing orders and payments through the POS system, and maintaining a clean and ready front-of-house environment. This is a multi-faceted position requiring coordination across customer service, cashier operations, and kitchen/bar communication.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and serve customers with friendliness, courtesy, and professionalism

• Explain menu items and provide recommendations or information as needed

• Take and ensure customer orders are accurate

• Deliver food and beverages according to orders

• Ensure customer needs are met throughout their time at the cafe

• Clear and tidy tables after customers finish

• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the cafe during operations

• Handle customer questions or complaints professionally and report to PIC when necessary

• Process payments via cash, card, QR, or other payment methods accurately

• Perform cash drawer checks and balancing at the end of shift

About you

• Ability to operate POS systems according to cafe standards

• Attention to detail in recording orders, modifiers, quantities, and special requests

• Strong communication skills with customers, team members, and across departments

• Ability to work efficiently during peak hours and manage multiple tasks

• Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards

• Willingness to assist with basic beverage preparation when needed and trained

• Professional attitude and ability to handle customer service situations calmly
