Assistant Pharmacist

Assistant Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team in Jakarta on a contract basis. This role is essential to ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications and supporting our primary pharmacist in delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care to our patients. As an Assistant Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in maintaining our high standards of pharmacy practice and contributing to the overall quality of patient care within our clinic.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting the primary pharmacist in the dispensing of medications and ensuring accuracy in prescription fulfillment

• Verifying medication information, dosages and patient instructions under the supervision of the pharmacist

• Managing pharmacy inventory, including stock control, ordering and organisation of medicinal products

• Preparing and labelling medications according to pharmacy protocols and regulatory requirements

• Providing support in patient counselling regarding medication usage and potential side effects

• Maintaining accurate pharmaceutical records and documentation in compliance with legal requirements

• Ensuring pharmacy standards of cleanliness, safety and hygiene are consistently maintained

• Supporting the pharmacist in responding to medication-related queries from patients and healthcare staff

• Assisting in the implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures

What we're looking for

• Completed qualification as an Pharmacist with a valid license to practice in Indonesia

• Professional registration with relevant pharmacy regulatory bodies in Indonesia

• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, medications and their interactions

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in pharmaceutical calculations and measurements

• Proficiency in Indonesian language, with professional communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team environment

• Understanding of pharmacy laws, regulations and ethical standards applicable in Indonesia

• Prior experience in a pharmacy or clinical setting is highly desirable

• Computer literacy and familiarity with pharmacy management systems
