Safety Engineer Assistant

About the role

Safety Engineer Assistant role supporting occupational health and safety operations within a manufacturing environment. The position involves daily on-site safety inspections, hazard identification, risk assessments, safety training coordination, documentation management, and compliance with Indonesian K3 laws and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in daily on-site safety inspections, identify potential workplace safety hazards, and follow up on corrective action implementation

• Support safety risk evaluations and hazard source identification, and help implement corresponding preventative safety measures

• Assist in organizing employee safety training sessions and safety publicity campaigns to raise overall workplace safety awareness

• Organize and archive safety inspection records, accident logs, and related safety documentation; assist in investigating abnormal incidents and accidents, tracking closed-loop corrective measures

• Supervise the enforcement of on-site safe operating procedures, report violations, and support the implementation of company safety management systems in line with Indonesian K3 laws and regulations

• Complete other safety-related assignments designated by leadership

About you

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety (K3), Environmental Engineering, or related technical disciplines

• 3–5 years of experience in occupational health and safety (K3/HSE) within a factory or manufacturing environment

• Advanced English

• Familiarity with Indonesian labor safety regulations (SMK3), hazard identification (HIRADC), safety inspection documentation, and incident root-cause analysis

• Mandarin communication skills are preferred
