Japanese Interpreter

About the role

This role involves providing accurate and timely oral interpretation and written translation between Japanese and Indonesian to support business operations and communications with Japanese business partners.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timely oral interpretation and written translation between Japanese and Indonesian

• Support business meetings, presentations, discussions, and other engagements involving company representatives and Japanese business partners

• Translate business documents, contracts, reports, presentations, correspondence, and other materials between Japanese and Indonesian

• Ensure clear, accurate, and effective two-way communication between both parties while maintaining the intended meaning and context

• Facilitate communication by considering Japanese business culture, etiquette, and professional practices

• Provide administrative and logistical support for business meetings, appointments, and visits from Japan

• Maintain the confidentiality of company information and sensitive business documents

About you

• Preferably N2 or N3 with strong experience as an interpreter

• Good understanding of Japanese business culture, etiquette, and professional communication practices

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills

• Detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to work efficiently under tight deadlines

• Able to handle multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and professionalism

• Responsible, committed, and capable of maintaining confidentiality
