Furniture Designer / Product Developer - Semarang - WFO (ID: 711921)

Our client is a Japanese manufacturing company based in Semarang, specializing in wooden furniture, musical instruments, and plastic injection components, with a strong focus on international export markets. They are looking for Furniture Design / Product Developer who will:

Key responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements into product specifications and ODM development plans

• Design wooden furniture and interior products, including CAD drawings and material/structural studies

• Prepare products for mass production and support production ramp-up

• Coordinate with customers, design/development, and manufacturing teams

• Improve product quality, cost efficiency, and manufacturing processes

About you

• Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Furniture Design, Wood Engineering, or related fields

• Experience using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor

• Knowledge of technical drawings, material selection, and basic structural design

• Experience in wooden furniture, interior products, or related product development is preferred

• Experience in ODM/OEM, new product development, or manufacturing is a plus

• Experience with Japanese companies/manufacturers in furniture, musical instruments, etc.

• Willing to relocate and develop a long-term career in Semarang
