Front Office Receptionist In Hostel

About the role

The Lazy Rabbit Hostel is looking for a friendly, confident, and enthusiastic Front Office Receptionist to join our growing team in Ubud, Bali. This is a social hostel where international travelers come to meet new people, make friends, participate in activities, and create unforgettable memories. You'll be welcoming travelers, organizing activities, introducing guests to each other, and helping create the social atmosphere that makes The Lazy Rabbit special. This is not just a desk job.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a friendly, positive, and professional attitude
• Manage guest check-ins, check-outs, and registrations
• Handle reservations, cancellations, extensions, and room changes
• Manage bookings through Booking.com, Hostelworld, and Cloudbeds
• Answer emails, WhatsApp messages, phone calls, and online inquiries
• Provide information about hostel facilities, activities, and local attractions
• Assist guests with questions, requests, and complaints
• Organize and host daily social activities and evening events
• Lead trivia nights, drinking games, beer pong tournaments, and other group activities
• Promote and sell hostel tours, excursions, and activities

About you

• Minimum 1 year of experience in hospitality, reception, customer service, or a similar position preferred
• Good spoken and written English is mandatory
• Fluent Indonesian
• Extroverted, sociable, and energetic
• Naturally friendly and confident
• Comfortable starting conversations with strangers
• Organized, reliable, and punctual
• Able to multitask in a busy environment
• Comfortable using computers and reservation systems
• Willing to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends
