Financial Supervisor

About the role

PT Mega Byte Indonesia is seeking a Financial Supervisor to join our Accounting team in Jakarta on a full-time basis. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting and accounting operations. As Financial Supervisor, you will oversee day-to-day financial activities, supervise accounting staff, and ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. This position plays a vital role in supporting the organisation's financial health and strategic decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including monitoring staff performance and ensuring adherence to accounting standards and procedures

• Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, general ledger accounts, and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment reconciliation, and collections

• Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner

• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements

• Train and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance on accounting procedures and best practices

• Prepare and analyse financial reports for management review and stakeholder communication

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement efficiency enhancements within the accounting function

• Coordinate with internal departments and external auditors to support audit activities and financial reviews

• Maintain accurate and organised financial records and documentation

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Good English proficiency, capable of using written and spoken English for communication in the workplace.

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting roles, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory capacity

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and Indonesian tax regulations

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial work

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams and stakeholders

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to supervise, mentor, and motivate accounting staff

• Knowledge of internal controls and audit procedures

• Professional accounting certification (such as BAPEPAM or similar) is preferred

• Experience with ERP systems or financial management software is advantageous
