Barista

About the role

This is a barista and customer service role at a coffee shop. You will prepare and serve coffee and non-coffee beverages (hot and cold) as well as light food, provide friendly and efficient customer service, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee and non-coffee beverages (hot and cold) and light food according to SOP

• Provide friendly and fast customer service, including greeting customers, taking orders, and providing menu recommendations

• Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including coffee machines, bar, equipment, and dining area

• Conduct daily checks of stock levels of raw materials and outlet supplies

• Operate coffee machines and supporting equipment correctly and safely

• Process customer payments in cash and non-cash and operate the cash register system

• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth and efficient operations

• Report operational issues or customer complaints to direct supervisor

• Participate in regular training and service quality improvement

• Assist with outlet opening and closing procedures, including light inventory and daily sales recap

About you

• Good communication skills, friendly, and customer-oriented

• Interest in coffee, F&B, and service

• Experience as a barista is a plus; open to candidates without experience who have high willingness to learn

• Understanding of basic coffee preparation and espresso machine operation

• Disciplined, honest, quick, detail-oriented, and responsible attitude

• Able to work individually and in a team, especially during busy operating hours

• Ability to offer products (upselling and cross-selling) to support sales targets

• Willing to work on a shift system, including weekends and public holidays

• Willing to undergo training and comply with SOP and Goffee product quality standards

• Live near the outlet or have adequate transportation access to the work location
