Steward

We are looking for a responsible, hardworking, and team-oriented Kitchen Steward to support our Kitchen Team in maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and smooth daily kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, work areas, floors, and other kitchen facilities.
• Wash and properly store plates, glasses, cutlery, cooking utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Ensure all kitchen areas are kept clean, organized, and hygienic throughout the shift.
• Assist with garbage disposal and ensure waste is separated and handled according to company procedures.
• Support the kitchen team with basic cleaning and operational tasks when required.
• Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing areas, sinks, drains, storage areas, and other assigned sections.
• Ensure cleaning tools, chemicals, and equipment are used and stored safely.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Report any damaged equipment, maintenance issues, or hygiene concerns to the Supervisor.
• Assist with receiving, moving, and storing kitchen supplies when required.
• Work closely with Chefs, Kitchen Team Members, and other departments to support efficient kitchen operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Kitchen Supervisor or Management.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward, Dishwasher, or in a similar hospitality position is preferred.
• No experience is welcome to apply.
• Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Able to work standing for extended periods and handle cleaning duties throughout the shift.
• Responsible, punctual, hardworking, and willing to learn.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good personal hygiene and a strong understanding of cleanliness.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Positive attitude and good work ethic.
