About the role

We are seeking an experienced SPV QA&QC (Supervisor Quality Assurance & Quality Control) to join PT HSC Indonesia in a full-time position based in North Labuhanbatu, North Sumatra. This is a pivotal supervisory role within our Quality Assurance and Quality Control department, responsible for overseeing quality standards across our manufacturing and logistics operations. As SPV QA&QC, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all products and processes meet our stringent quality requirements and comply with industry regulations. This position reports directly to senior management and is essential to maintaining our commitment to excellence and operational integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the QA&QC team, including scheduling, training, performance evaluation and development of team members

• Establish, implement and maintain quality assurance standards and procedures across all manufacturing and logistics operations

• Conduct regular inspections, audits and testing of products, materials and processes to ensure compliance with quality specifications

• Investigate quality issues, defects and non-conformances, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

• Document and maintain comprehensive quality records, test reports and inspection logs in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements

• Collaborate with production, procurement and logistics teams to address quality concerns and optimise operational efficiency

• Prepare quality reports and metrics for management review, highlighting trends, improvements and areas requiring attention

• Ensure compliance with local and international quality standards, certifications and regulatory requirements

• Provide training and coaching to QA&QC staff and production teams on quality procedures and best practices

• Monitor supplier quality performance and coordinate with procurement on material quality issues

What we're looking for

• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity

• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, including ISO 7301:2001, ISO 9001, and ISO 22000 or other relevant industry standards

• Proven experience in manufacturing and logistics environments, with understanding of production processes and supply chain quality

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate quality issues and implement effective solutions

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience in team management, training and performance evaluation

• Proficiency in quality control tools and statistical analysis methods (SPC, sampling plans, control charts)

• Strong communication skills in Indonesian and English, both written and verbal

• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards

• Familiarity with quality documentation systems and experience with regulatory compliance

• Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment and occasional overtime as required

• Preferably certified in quality management or Six Sigma methodologies
