R&D Technologist

Required Skills/Abilities: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field. 

• Fresh graduates; internship or other relevant practical experience is an advantage. 

• Good understanding of basic food science, food processing, and food safety principles. 

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate technical records and documentation. 

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data recording and basic analysis. 

• Fluent in written and spoken English, as most R&D reporting and communication will be conducted in English. 
  

Principal Responsibilities: 

• Support the preparation and execution of R&D trials and samples. 

• Maintain complete and traceable trial records, formulations, and reporting. 

• Support sensory evaluations, including sample preparation, panel coordination, data collection and result consolidation. 

• Assist with product and process troubleshooting in collaboration with other departments. 

• Support packaging development through material evaluations, filling trials, handling tests and performance monitoring. 

• Support raw material and field-development projects through sampling, measurements and technical data collection. 

• Prepare and coordinate shipment of R&D samples to customers, internal teams, laboratories and other external parties. 

• Conduct in-house stability testing to evaluate products prior to commercialization. 

• Maintain records of commercialized products and establish appropriate retain-sample monitoring schedules. 

• Maintain R&D document control, including specifications, formulations, SOPs, work instructions, trial records, technical reports, and other controlled documents. 

• Track assigned project actions and timelines and provide regular updates to the R&D Manager and R&D Engineer Supervisor, as applicable. 

• Support other R&D activities as required based on project and business needs.
