Plant Manager (Plastic Manufacturing)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Plant Manager to oversee the overall plant operations of a plastic manufacturing company specializing in plastic hoses. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, product quality, production performance, and continuous improvement across all plant functions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations to ensure production targets, product quality, and delivery schedules are achieved efficiently

• Manage production planning, capacity utilization, material requirements, and production scheduling to meet customer demand

• Supervise warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, material handling, and logistics to ensure efficient material flow and timely product delivery

• Ensure the effectiveness of preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize machine downtime and maintain optimal equipment performance

• Ensure product quality standards are consistently maintained and that manufacturing processes comply with applicable quality requirements

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce production costs, minimize waste, and optimize resource utilization

• Lead, develop, and motivate plant teams, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and high performance

• Monitor plant KPIs, operational expenses, production efficiency, and overall manufacturing performance

• Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards, company policies, and applicable regulations

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing, with a strong background in plastic injection molding and plastic manufacturing processes

• Proven experience managing overall plant operations, including Production, PPIC, Warehouse & Logistics, Maintenance, and QA/QC

• Experience in plastic hose manufacturing or related plastic products will be an advantage

• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive operational performance

• Solid understanding of production planning, quality management, inventory control, and manufacturing cost optimization

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities

• Results-oriented, hands-on, and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
