About the role

We are seeking a creative, independent, and highly initiative Pastry Cook to join our kitchen team. This position focuses on bakery & cake production, cake decoration art, and product costing management. If you have a high passion for pastry, skilled in decorating, and meticulous in ingredient calculations, we want to meet you!

Key responsibilities

• Produce various types of bread (bakery), cakes, and pastry according to standard recipes, taste standards, and company quality.

• Maintain consistency of texture, taste, and appearance of products in every production batch.

• Decorate custom cakes, birthday cakes, and pastry using buttercream, fondant, piping, or chocolate work techniques.

• Proactively contribute ideas for new creations in bread recipes, product variations, and latest cake decoration trends.

• Calculate Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) for each recipe and new product variation.

• Manage raw material usage efficiently to reduce material waste.

• Conduct raw material stock control and maintain storage neatness according to food safety standards.

• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, kitchen equipment, and comply with hygiene and workplace safety standards.

About you

• Minimum education: SMK Tata Boga / D3 Culinary Arts / Pastry & Bakery (or relevant work experience).

• Minimum 1–2 years experience as Pastry Cook / Baker in Hotel, Cafe, Bakery Shop, or Cloud Kitchen.

• Master dough preparation, proofing, baking techniques and cake production.

• Skilled in cake decoration art.

• Able to perform recipe costing and food cost calculations.

• High initiative and creativity in designing new products/decorations.

• Detail-oriented with high concern for product aesthetics.

• Good time management and able to work according to targets.

• Honest, disciplined, and able to work independently and within a team.
