Job Description – Cook

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to established recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines.

• Ensure all food is prepared and served in a timely manner.

• Maintain consistency in food quality, taste, and portion control.

• Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, measuring, and storing them properly.

• Monitor food quality and report any issues related to ingredients or supplies.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, workstations, and kitchen equipment in accordance with food safety standards.

• Assist in receiving and checking deliveries of food and kitchen supplies.

• Minimize food waste and use ingredients efficiently.

• Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to the HOD.

• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.

• Perform other duties assigned by the Chef or HOD.

Requirements

• Minimum high school or vocational school graduate, preferably in Culinary or Hospitality.

• Previous experience as a Cook is preferred.

• Knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety, and kitchen hygiene.

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Good teamwork and communication skills.

• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
