Deskripsi pekerjaan

Client Overview

Our client is part of a diversified Indonesian business group with operations spanning modern agriculture, large-scale livestock, mining, and other industrial businesses.

The agricultural business operates highly structured, technology-driven livestock facilities across strategic regions in Indonesia. Its operations integrate automated farming systems, feedmill production, advanced biosecurity, livestock breeding, and data-driven production management.

The business is transforming traditional agriculture into a more structured and technology-enabled corporate model, with strong emphasis on operational efficiency, standardized processes, transparent asset management, and financial control.

Important Candidate Consideration: The agricultural operation is specifically focused on pig farming. Candidates should be comfortable working in and visiting pig-farming facilities and handling financial matters related to livestock production. This aspect of the business is an important consideration from the beginning of the recruitment process.

Beyond the agricultural business, the wider group also has significant operations in mining, mining contracting, and other diversified businesses. The finance organization therefore provides exposure to a broader multi-business environment rather than being limited to one industry.

Job Role

The Accounting & Finance Manager will lead accounting, financial control, cost management, audit, treasury, and financial governance for the group's agricultural and livestock operations.

The role requires a hands-on finance leader who understands the complexities of live-production environments and can translate operational data such as livestock growth, mortality, feed consumption, production costs, inventory, logistics, and site expenses into accurate financial reporting and actionable business insights.

You will work closely with the Corporate Finance Director and CFO while regularly engaging with farm management, feedmill operations, external auditors, tax authorities, suppliers, Directors, and international stakeholders.

Importantly, this position is designed with broader group exposure and career progression in mind. Depending on performance, business priorities, and organizational needs, the successful candidate may be given responsibility for finance functions within other businesses or subsidiaries of the group, including mining, holding-company finance, or other operating businesses.

The company is therefore looking for someone who is not only capable of managing agricultural finance but is also flexible and ready to take on broader financial leadership responsibilities across different business environments.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Biological Asset Management

  • Lead and oversee end-to-end accounting activities across multi-site pig farming and agricultural operations.

  • Manage general ledger, inventory records, financial closing, reconciliations, and operational accounting processes.

  • Apply biological asset accounting principles under PSAK 69 / IAS 41, including livestock valuation, growth, birth, mortality, and production-related data.

  • Prepare and present financial statements, P&L reports, production cost reports, and management reporting to senior management.

  • Ensure operational and financial data from farm sites is accurately captured and reflected in corporate reporting.

Feedmill Costing & Financial Optimization

  • Work closely with farm and feedmill management to monitor production costs, feed consumption, raw material costs, veterinary expenses, and operational budgets.

  • Analyze feed and commodity cost fluctuations and identify potential cost leakages across the agricultural supply chain.

  • Monitor imported raw material costs and their impact on production margins.

  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to improve cost efficiency and operational profitability.

  • Review and control CapEx related to farm automation, machinery, infrastructure, and biosecurity projects.

Treasury & Cash Flow Management

  • Monitor operational cash requirements and funding limits across multiple farm and production sites.

  • Optimize supplier payments, logistics settlements, and operational cash utilization.

  • Maintain strong internal controls over petty cash, site expenses, payroll-related payments, and maintenance costs.

  • Support the CFO in cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and liquidity planning.

Audit, Tax & Regulatory Compliance

  • Coordinate external audits and act as a key finance representative during audit processes.

  • Work with external auditors, tax advisors, and relevant government authorities to resolve audit and compliance matters.

  • Monitor developments in Indonesian tax regulations, import duties, agricultural-related costs, and other applicable regulations.

  • Ensure accurate and timely tax reporting and minimize financial and regulatory exposure.

  • Strengthen internal financial controls and audit readiness across operational sites.

Group Finance & Cross-Business Exposure

  • Support the Corporate Finance Director and CFO in financial governance across the wider group.

  • Participate in financial reviews and analysis for other group businesses when required.

  • Be prepared to take on finance responsibilities within mining, mining contracting, holding-company operations, agriculture, or other subsidiaries based on business priorities and performance.

  • Adapt accounting, reporting, cost-control, and financial governance approaches to different business models.

  • Develop the capability to progress into a broader Group Finance, Financial Controller, or business-unit finance leadership position.

Business Partnership & Site Finance

  • Partner with Farm Directors, Feedmill Managers, operational teams, and senior management to improve financial visibility and decision-making.

  • Conduct regular site visits to audit financial and operational inputs at their source.

  • Translate complex agricultural and operational data into clear financial insights for management.

  • Support the CFO and Corporate Finance Director in strategic financial planning and business performance reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Accounting or Finance from a reputable university.

  • Professional certification such as CA, CPA, or Ak. is highly preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Lead Accountant, Financial Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar finance leadership role.

  • Strong experience in large-scale agriculture, poultry, livestock, food manufacturing, FMCG production, agribusiness distribution, mining, or other large-scale operational businesses.

  • Experience in livestock or agricultural accounting is highly preferred.

  • Practical knowledge of biological asset accounting, PSAK 69 / IAS 41, livestock accounting, and agricultural inventory management.

  • Proven experience managing or coordinating external financial audits, preferably with Big 4 or other leading audit firms.

  • Strong understanding of cost accounting, budgeting, financial controls, cash flow management, and operational finance.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modelling, complex data analysis, pivot tables, and forecasting.

  • Strong experience using ERP systems and other enterprise financial platforms.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial management capabilities.

  • High resilience and adaptability in fast-paced, operationally intensive environments.

  • Willingness to work across both corporate and operational/field environments.

  • Must be comfortable with pig farming and working around pig livestock operations.

  • Flexible and open to taking on finance responsibilities across different businesses within the group, including mining and holding-company operations.

  • Strong cross-cultural communication skills and ability to work with international stakeholders.

  • Professional proficiency in English, both spoken and written, for international reporting and communication with overseas stakeholders.

  • Willingness to travel frequently to Cibitung/MM2100 and farm sites, including remote operational locations, and work closely with Directors, international clients, and business stakeholders.

Employment: Initial 6-month PKWT with potential conversion to permanent
