Technician (Capsule Maker)

About the role

This role will be placed at PT Blue Ocean Labs (BOL), Batam, and will provide technical support in electrical aspects and electrical maintenance to manufacturing of cigarette products to meet production volume objectives within defined KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) such as quality, productivity, cost, safety, delivery time, industrial/environmental compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for machine set-up, conversion, troubleshooting, support and fast action taken to solve machine breakdown during working by shift

• Evaluate and assess machine problems by troubleshooting and completing repairs in a timely manner

• Complete other duties as assigned by technical shift leader including working during the shift as necessary to support production if needed

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance by following work order instructions from technical shift leader

• Conduct diagnostic and analysis if the machine needs corrective maintenance by writing work order requests to get time slots and spare part replacements to maintain machine performance

• Follow safety regulations, guidelines, and company procedure SOPs always

• Conduct deep analysis study for repeated machine stoppages and reduce reject and wastage related to electrical issues

• Maintain and follow the 5S Procedure at working place area

About you

• Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or Industrial Engineering

• Strong understanding in mechanical transmission systems (gearbox, chain, belt, cam system), bearing and lubrication systems and pneumatic systems (cylinder, solenoid valve, FRL unit)

• Very good at mechanical and mechatronic troubleshooting

• Very good proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Strong English language skills

• Good team player and able to work and manage new situations exceptionally
