Gallus Technician

About the role

A Gallus Technician is responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting of Gallus printing presses used in label and packaging production. The role ensures high-quality print output, machine reliability, and adherence to safety and production standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on Gallus Labelmaster 440 and Labelmaster 340

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, operational and printing-related issues to minimize downtime

• Replace worn parts and ensure proper lubrication of components

• Maintain accurate maintenance logs

• Report any major issues to Assistant Mgr. Engineering and suggest improvements

• Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and legislation to ensure a safe working environment

About you

• Technical diploma or equivalent in Printing or Mechanical Engineering

• 3–5 years on technical Gallus and Flexographic printing

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

• Ability to read technical manuals and troubleshoot mechanical issues

• Familiarity with Flexo inks, substrates (e.g., BOPP, PET, PVC), and colour management systems

• Strong speaking and writing skills in English
