About the role

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Food Service professional to join our team. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our retail and consumer products operations. As a Sales Food Service representative, you will be the face of our brand, responsible for delivering exceptional service whilst driving sales and building lasting relationships with our customers. Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring their needs are identified and met promptly

• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems

• Maintain comprehensive product knowledge to provide informed recommendations and answer customer enquiries about food service offerings

• Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic work environment in compliance with food safety and retail standards

• Stock shelves and display areas with products, ensuring accurate pricing and attractive presentation

• Identify and escalate customer concerns or complaints to management, working towards satisfactory resolutions

• Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting discrepancies

• Contribute to achieving sales targets and promotional objectives through active engagement and upselling techniques

• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and provide backup support where needed

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in retail, food service, or customer-facing sales environments is highly desirable

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage customers positively and professionally

• A friendly, outgoing personality with a genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Basic numeracy skills and comfort with handling cash and card transactions

• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and peak trading periods if required

• A reliable and punctual approach with a strong work ethic and team spirit
