Safety System & Training Unit Head

Requirements

·    Minimum Diploma (D4) or Bachelor’s degree (S1), preferably in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), Mining Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or another relevant field.

·    1–3 years of work experience in Safety, HSE, Safety Systems, Training, or management system administration. Experience in the mining industry is an advantage.

·    At least one relevant competency certification, such as General OHS Expert (AK3 Umum), Mining Operations Supervisor (POP), SMKP Implementation/Internal Auditor, and Training of Trainer (TOT) Level 3/4; SMKP and TOT certifications are preferred.

·    Understanding of administrative processes, document control, data management, and report preparation.

·    Experience supporting audits or administering OHS training programs is an advantage.

·    Familiar with document management systems or corporate digital applications. Experience with Power BI or similar data analysis tools is an advantage.

·    Basic understanding of the Mining Safety Management System (SMKP), Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SMK3), and the implementation of workplace safety requirements.

·    Understanding of training administration, competency matrices, training evaluation, and the monitoring of competency certificate or license validity.

·    Basic understanding of audits, non-conformity identification, corrective actions, and monitoring the closure of findings.

·    Basic understanding of risk analysis and the relationship between worker competency and job-related risks.

·    Knowledge of mining safety regulations relevant to the role, in accordance with applicable requirements.

Job Descriptions

·       Support the implementation, review, and improvement of SMKP, SMK3, and other company safety management systems.

·       Maintain controlled safety documents and monitor compliance with system requirements.

·       Verify implementation evidence, identify gaps between requirements and field practice, and support communication of system updates.

·       Maintain training needs data and competency matrices for employees and contractors.

·       Coordinate training schedules, participants, instructors, materials, records, and evaluations.

·       Monitor competency certificate/license validity and follow up on training needs and effectiveness.

·       Support audits and compliance evaluations by preparing required documents and evidence.

·       Record audit findings and monitor corrective actions, closure evidence, and verification status.

·       Highlight recurring findings and support root cause analysis and continual improvement.

·       Maintain accurate, complete, and traceable safety system, training, competency, and audit data.

·       Prepare periodic reports, trackers, and dashboards, and resolve data gaps or inconsistencies.

·       Maintain secure and organized records in accordance with company requirements.

·       Coordinate with relevant departments, contractors, HR, and training providers to support program implementation.

·       Follow up on requests for data and evidence, and prepare safety system communication materials as needed.

·       Recommend process simplification, standardization, and digital monitoring improvements.
