Referee Lead

About the role

Lead and run the officiating team behind CFL SEA to keep every match consistent, fair, and on schedule across tiers, online and offline.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and manage the CFL SEA referee team across all competition tiers and markets

• Recruit, onboard, and train referees, then run regular calibration sessions to ensure rulings stay consistent

• Own the rulebook: draft, maintain, and update tournament rules with the Tournament PM, and issue clarifications to teams

• Define and standardize officiating SOPs: pre-match checks, lobby setup, pause/remake protocols, result submission, and evidence handling

• Set up and manage match communication channels on Discord and TeamSpeak, including monitoring team comms during official matches where the rules require it

• Act as the final escalation point for disputes, protests, and rule violations, and issue rulings and penalties

• Coordinate with the publisher's anti-cheat and technical teams on cheating investigations and game-side issues

• Officiate high-stakes matches yourself, including playoffs, finals, and offline events

• Review referee match reports and incident logs, and produce integrity reports for management

• Track referee performance and give feedback and development plans

About you

• 3+ years as an esports referee, admin, or tournament official, with at least 1 year leading or coordinating a referee team

• Deep knowledge of CrossFire or other competitive FPS titles: mechanics, game modes, settings, and common exploits

• Proven experience writing or enforcing tournament rulebooks and handling disputes at a professional level

• Firm, neutral, and calm under pressure, able to make tough calls and defend them clearly

• Strong people leadership: able to train, motivate, and hold a team accountable

• Excellent documentation and reporting habits

• Bahasa native and English as a working language

• Familiar with anti-cheat procedures, Discord, TeamSpeak, and tournament platforms

• No conflicts of interest with competing teams or players

• Available evenings and weekends during tournament periods, and willing to travel for offline and regional events
