Mining Logistic Jr. Foreman

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate warehouse staff to ensure smooth daily operations and adherence to safety protocols

• Monitor inventory levels, stock rotation and material handling to maintain optimal warehouse efficiency

• Oversee the loading, unloading and storage of mining materials and products in accordance with company procedures

• Conduct safety inspections and ensure all team members comply with health, safety and environmental regulations

• Maintain accurate records of warehouse transactions, stock movements and logistics activities

• Assist in planning and scheduling logistics operations to meet production and distribution deadlines

• Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend improvements to enhance productivity

• Liaise with other departments including production, quality and transport to ensure seamless logistics coordination

• Train and mentor junior warehouse staff on proper handling, safety procedures and operational best practices

• Report on logistics performance metrics and escalate issues to senior management when required

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working in a warehouse, distribution centre or logistics environment, ideally within mining or heavy industry

• Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience, with the ability to manage and motivate a team

• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations applicable to warehousing and materials handling

• Proficiency in warehouse management systems and inventory tracking software

• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks

• Sound understanding of material handling equipment operation and safety procedures

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across different departments

• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation

• Physical capability to work in a warehouse environment and perform regular site inspections
