Mining HSE Supervisor

Key responsibilities

• Conducting daily health, safety and environmental inspections and audits across mining operations

• Developing, implementing and maintaining HSE policies, procedures and safe work method statements

• Leading incident investigations and implementing corrective and preventive actions to minimise workplace hazards

• Supervising and training site personnel on HSE compliance, hazard identification and emergency response procedures

• Monitoring compliance with Indonesian mining regulations, environmental legislation and industry standards

• Preparing and maintaining comprehensive HSE documentation, records and reports for management review

• Conducting risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential workplace dangers

• Liaising with regulatory authorities and external HSE consultants on compliance matters

• Promoting a positive safety culture and encouraging workforce participation in HSE initiatives

• Managing emergency response protocols and ensuring adequate equipment and resources are in place

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5-7 years professional experience in HSE supervision within mining or heavy industrial operations

• Strong knowledge of Indonesian mining regulations and environmental compliance requirements

• Formal HSE qualifications such as DIII HSE, OHSAS 18001 certification or equivalent professional credentials

• Demonstrated experience conducting incident investigations and implementing corrective actions

• Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and hazard identification techniques

• Excellent communication and training skills with the ability to influence and motivate diverse teams

• Competency in HSE documentation, reporting systems and database management

• Experience managing emergency preparedness and response procedures

• Fluency in Indonesian and English language (both written and spoken)

• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in compliance matters

• Ability to work effectively in challenging mining environments and adapt to operational requirements

• Preferred experience in metalliferous mining operations or similar mineral extraction activities
