Mining Logistic Jr. Foreman

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate warehouse and logistics staff to ensure efficient daily operations and adherence to safety protocols

• Oversee the loading, unloading, storage, and distribution of mining materials and products

• Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials

• Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehousing equipment, including forklifts, cranes, and material handling systems

• Plan and optimise warehouse space utilisation to maximise storage capacity and accessibility

• Conduct regular inspections to verify compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards

• Liaise with mining operations, transport, and external logistics partners to coordinate schedules and resolve operational issues

• Train and mentor junior staff on proper material handling procedures and equipment operation

• Prepare and submit operational reports on logistics activities, productivity metrics, and any incidents or delays

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies within warehouse and distribution operations

What we're looking for

• Proven experience (2-5 years) in warehouse management, logistics, or materials handling within a manufacturing or mining environment

• Supervisory or foreman-level experience with the ability to lead and motivate teams

• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management systems, and material handling best practices

• Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, cranes, or similar machinery

• Excellent understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to mining and warehousing operations

• Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders

• Attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation

• Problem-solving capability and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure

• Relevant certifications (such as forklift operation, HAZMAT handling, or equivalent) are advantageous

• Familiarity with logistics software and computer systems is preferred
