MEP Estimator

About the role

PT. PMA High Quality Construction is seeking a skilled MEP Estimator to join our estimating team on a full-time basis. This is a strategic position based in South Kuta, Bali, where you will play a crucial role in determining project costs and supporting our commercial success. As an MEP Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across our diverse construction projects. This role is essential to our bidding process and directly impacts our ability to secure profitable contracts whilst maintaining our reputation for quality and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems on construction projects of varying scales and complexity

• Review project specifications, drawings, and technical documentation to identify all MEP components and materials required

• Analyse supplier quotations and subcontractor proposals to ensure competitive pricing and value for money

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other departments to clarify project requirements and scope

• Maintain and update estimating databases, cost records, and historical data to support future estimating activities

• Identify potential risks and cost implications associated with project designs and specifications

• Prepare estimates within agreed timescales to support the tender and bidding process

• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders regarding estimate status and cost-related enquiries

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as an MEP Estimator or in a similar estimating role within the construction industry

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, materials, and installation methods

• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office applications

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in calculations and cost analysis

• Ability to read, interpret and understand technical drawings and specifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities

• Excellent organisational and time management abilities

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal in English

• Familiarity with construction industry standards and practices in Indonesia or similar markets (preferred)

• Knowledge of local suppliers and subcontractors in Bali or the surrounding region (advantageous)
