HSE Officer

About the role

Responsible for implementing supervision and monitoring of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) aspects in all Ship-to-Ship (STS) coal transfer activities to ensure operations run safely, prevent work accidents and environmental pollution, and comply with company procedures and applicable regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct inspections and safety supervision on STS activities, including vessel approach, mooring/unmooring, coal transshipment, floating crane, tug & barge, support vessel, and personnel activities in operational areas

• Ensure implementation of Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA), Permit to Work (PTW), toolbox meetings, use of personal protective equipment, and safe work procedures

• Monitor prevention of marine pollution, fuel/oil spills, coal dust, waste management, and compliance with environmental procedures and requirements

• Report and assist in investigation of incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts/conditions, and support implementation of emergency response, drills, and corrective action follow-up

• Prepare inspection reports, HSE statistics, non-conformance findings, and corrective action status; conduct safety induction and increase safety awareness for employees, contractors, and vessel personnel within authority

About you

• Minimum D3/S1 qualification in K3 (Occupational Health and Safety), Environmental Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related field

• Possess HSE certification relevant to the position requirements and applicable regulations

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in HSE, preferably in marine operations, ports, transshipment, or coal mining

• Understand risk assessment, incident investigation, emergency response, and environmental monitoring

• Able to prepare HSE reports and conduct safety communication with various parties

• Willing to be placed at Kalimantan Selatan site with roster work system
