General Underwriter

What you'll be doing:

• Reviewing and evaluating insurance applications and supporting documentation to assess risk and determine appropriate coverage and pricing

• Analysing complex risk profiles, financial information, and technical data to make informed underwriting decisions

• Liaising with brokers, agents, and clients to gather information and negotiate policy terms

• Collaborating with the wider underwriting team to share knowledge, identify opportunities, and continuously improve underwriting processes

What we're looking for:

• At least 2 years of experience in general insurance underwriting

• Strong analytical and risk assessment skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial and technical data

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with a range of stakeholders

• A thorough understanding of insurance regulations, policies, and industry best practices

• A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
