Daily Worker Barista (Padel Academy Canggu)

About the role

We are seeking a Daily Worker Barista to join our team at Padel Academy Canggu in Bali. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant hospitality environment within our growing padel sports and leisure facility. As a barista, you will be the face of our beverage service, creating exceptional coffee experiences for our members and guests whilst maintaining the high standards expected in our dynamic venue. Your role will be integral to enhancing the overall experience of our padel academy visitors and contributing to our reputation for excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, coffee, tea, and speciality drinks

• Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the bar counter and beverage preparation areas

• Operate and maintain coffee machines and other beverage equipment, ensuring all machinery is kept in optimal working condition

• Take orders from customers with a friendly, professional demeanour and provide personalised service recommendations

• Handle cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently, maintaining proper records

• Stock and rotate beverage inventory, alerting management when supplies are running low

• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations during peak and quiet periods

• Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and organised workspace

• Engage positively with customers to build rapport and encourage repeat business

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a barista or in a similar beverage service role within hospitality

• Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage creation

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure, particularly during busy periods

• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable attitude

• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness

• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team

• Basic cash handling experience and familiarity with point-of-sale systems

• Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the business

• Passion for hospitality and creating memorable customer experiences

• Relevant certifications in barista skills or coffee training are advantageous
