Sweet Flavorist Assistant (Mandarin Speaker)

Job Description

1. Assist the Chinese Flavorist in developing, adjusting, and testing flavors for sweet applications, including beverages, dairy products, confectionery, and bakery products.

2. Prepare raw materials, accurately weigh ingredients according to formulations, and prepare samples under the Flavorist’s guidance.

3. Assist with application testing and sensory evaluation, including recording results and preparing comparison samples.

4. Facilitate communication in Mandarin and Indonesian between the Flavorist and internal teams to ensure technical instructions are accurately understood.

5. Maintain accurate and organized records of formulations, trial data, evaluation results, and product development documents.

6. Manage the storage, labeling, and inventory of laboratory raw materials and samples.

7. Coordinate with the Application, Sales, QA/QC, and Production teams on sample requirements and development follow-up.

8. Maintain laboratory cleanliness and workplace safety, and protect the confidentiality of formulations and company information.

Requirements

1. Diploma (D3) or bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

2. Able to communicate effectively in Mandarin, particularly to understand work instructions and discuss technical matters with the Chinese Flavorist.

3. Preferably 1–2 years of experience in a laboratory, R&D, flavor, or food and beverage environment. Fresh graduates with good Mandarin proficiency are welcome to apply.

4. Understand the basics of ingredient weighing, sample preparation, and recording trial results.

5. Have an interest in flavor development and the sensory evaluation of aroma and taste.

6. Detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and able to follow formulations and work instructions accurately.

7. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word for data recording and report preparation.

8. Able to work effectively in a team and maintain the confidentiality of technical information.

9. Willing to work in a laboratory and be based in Cikarang , Jababeka
