Assistant Production Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee production schedules, resource allocation, workforce requirements, and material readiness to ensure timely project completion

• Monitor progress, productivity, and work quality across all shop fabrication activities (cutting, fit-up, welding, assembly, and painting)

• Coordinate with the Engineering, Procurement, QA/QC, and field teams to resolve technical or operational issues

• Ensure all fabrication activities comply with engineering drawings, technical specifications, and the project quality plan

• Implement and enforce Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations throughout the production area

• Optimize workflows and material usage efficiency, while minimizing potential waste (scrap)

• Prepare periodic reports on production progress, target achievement, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review

• Evaluate subcontractor performance and manage workforce productivity during the peak fabrication phase

• Promote the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives (such as 5S or Lean methodologies) within the production environment

Requirement

• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in production management, fabrication, or manufacturing within the EPC, Heavy Equipment, or Oil & Gas industries

• Bachelor's degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field

• Strong understanding of structural and tank fabrication, piping pre-fabrication, welding processes, and Quality Control standards

• Proficient in using project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and CAD software

• Strong leadership skills, effective communication, problem-solving abilities, and a high level of commitment to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards
