Supply Chain Superintendent

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Supply Chain Superintendent to lead and oversee end-to-end supply chain activities supporting coal mining operations in Central Kalimantan. This position is responsible for managing procurement, inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics coordination, contract administration, fuel management, and supplier performance to ensure uninterrupted operational support while maintaining compliance, cost efficiency, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership capabilities, extensive experience in mining supply chain management, and the ability to work effectively in a remote site environment under a roster-based work arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all supply chain functions, including procurement, warehousing, inventory control, logistics, contract administration, fuel management, and materials management to support mining operations.

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with operational requirements, cost optimization initiatives, and company objectives.

• Monitor inventory levels and warehouse operations to ensure material availability, accurate stock management, and optimal inventory turnover.

• Manage procurement processes, including sourcing, tendering, supplier evaluation, contract administration, and vendor performance management.

• Coordinate logistics and transportation activities for equipment, spare parts, fuel, explosives support materials, and operational supplies to remote mining locations.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement governance standards, mining regulations, and Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) requirements.

• Lead, coach, and develop the Supply Chain team, driving continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and high-performance culture across all supply chain activities.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Mining Engineering, or related disciplines.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Warehouse, Fuel, and/or Materials Management within the coal mining industry.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory or superintendent-level position within a mining operation.

• Proven experience managing remote-site supply chain operations and large-scale supplier networks.

• Strong understanding of coal mining operational processes and supply chain requirements.

• Sound knowledge of procurement and contract management best practices.

• Good understanding of Good Mining Practice principles and relevant mining regulations.

• Familiarity with HSE Management Systems (SMKP) and regulatory compliance requirements.

• Knowledge of ERP systems such as MSD or similar platforms.

• Strong leadership and people management skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, strong negotiation and vendor management skills, excellent planning, organizing, and coordination abilities, strong communication and stakeholder management skills, fluent in Bahasa Indonesia, and proficient in English both spoken and written.
