About the role

We are seeking an experienced Staff Exim to join our dynamic team in Central Semarang, Central Java. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in managing and optimising our export & import operations. As an Staff Exim, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth and compliant export processes, maintaining strong relationships with international clients, and driving the success of our export & import business unit. This role is integral to PT UUL GROUP SUPPLY CHAIN INDONESIA's continued growth and our reputation for excellence in international trade logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete export documentation process, including preparation of bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists and certificates of origin

• Ensure full compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements and export control laws

• Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders and shipping companies to arrange and monitor shipments

• Handle customs clearance procedures and liaise with customs authorities to facilitate smooth export processes

• Prepare and submit export declarations and maintain accurate records of all export transactions

• Communicate with clients to confirm shipment details, delivery schedules and special requirements

• Monitor shipment progress and provide regular updates to clients regarding their orders

• Resolve export-related issues and discrepancies that may arise during the shipping process

• Maintain knowledge of current export regulations, tariffs and international trade agreements

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient warehouse and logistics operations

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience of 1+ years working in export & import operations, customs clearance or international trade

2. Strong knowledge of export & import documentation, customs procedures and international shipping regulations

3. Proficiency in customs management systems and export & import software platforms

4. Excellent understanding of Harmonised System (HS) codes and tariff classifications

5. Fluent in Indonesian and English, both written and spoken; additional languages are advantageous

6. Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously

7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and internal stakeholders

8. Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation and compliance matters

9. Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving logistics challenges

10. Graduate Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Customs Administration or related field

11. Familiarity with major ports and export & import procedures in Indonesia is highly desirable
