About the role

This is a Senior Legal Counsel position responsible for managing all legal matters for the foundation, including litigation and dispute resolution, contract management, legal compliance, and governance. The role requires representing the foundation's interests before courts, government agencies, and other third parties, with particular focus on land disputes, asset protection, and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the handling of all legal dispute cases, particularly those related to the foundation's land disputes/assets, employment matters, and other civil or criminal disputes

• Act as the official legal counsel representing the foundation's interests in all litigation proceedings at District Courts, State Administrative Courts (PTUN), and other law enforcement agencies

• Formulate effective dispute resolution strategies, whether through mediation/negotiation (non-litigation) or formal legal channels (litigation)

• Draft, review, and oversee the negotiation of all cooperation agreements, MoUs, procurement contracts, and other foundation legal documents

• Ensure all contract clauses mitigate legal risks and maximize the protection of the foundation's assets and reputation

• Provide strategic legal advice and legal opinions to the foundation's board of management regarding operational decisions, programs, and asset development

• Ensure all foundation operations comply with the Foundation Law and prevailing laws and regulations in Indonesia

• Manage and secure all legal documents regarding the foundation's land/building ownership (Certificate of Ownership/Building Rights, land permits, etc.)

• Handle renewals, extensions, and transfers of land certificates and foundation permits with relevant agencies (National Land Agency/BPN, Notaries, relevant government departments)

• Build professional relationships and coordinate with external parties such as the National Land Agency (BPN), Notaries/PPAT, the Police, government agencies, and external legal consultants when necessary

About you

• Bachelor's degree (S1) in Law from a reputable university

• Master's degree in Business Law or Master of Notary (preferred)

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Corporate Legal or Litigation at an equivalent/Senior Legal level

• Active Advocate License from a recognized advocate organization (e.g., PERADI) and valid Advocate Identity Card (KTA)

• Experienced in handling and resolving legal disputes, specifically land/property disputes, through both out-of-court (non-litigation) and in-court (litigation) channels

• Capable of acting as legal counsel representing the foundation/institution before government agencies, the police, the prosecutor's office, courts, and other third parties

• Strong understanding of Company Law, Foundation Law, Agrarian/Land Law, business/social activity licensing, and non-profit organization governance

• Expert in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, legal opinions, legal audits, and foundation licensing/agreement documents

• Sharp legal analytical thinking and complex problem-solving skills

• High-level negotiation and diplomacy capabilities
