Senior Interior Designer (English Speaking)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer (English Speaking) to join PT Hey Cool Industry Indonesia in Tangerang, Banten. This is a full-time position that plays a strategic and creative role within our design and architecture division. As a Senior Interior Designer, you will be responsible for leading design projects, and delivering exceptional interior design solutions that align with our clients' vision and our company's high standards. This role is integral to our business as it directly impacts project quality, client satisfaction, and the overall reputation of PT Hey Cool Industry Indonesia in the competitive construction and design market.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design conceptualisation and development of interior design projects from initial consultation through to final implementation

• Create detailed design proposals, including floor plans, 3D renderings, colour schemes, material selections, and spatial layouts

• Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements, preferences, and budgetary constraints, ensuring design solutions meet their expectations

• Communicate design concepts and project updates with clients and stakeholders in English

• Oversee the coordination between design, architecture, and construction teams to ensure seamless project execution

• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget

• Mentor and provide guidance to junior interior designers and design staff members

• Stay current with interior design trends, materials, and technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into projects

• Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure design specifications are met during implementation

• Prepare and present design proposals and presentations to clients and internal teams

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience in interior design, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership capacity

• Fluent English speaking and writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex design concepts clearly to international clients

• Proven expertise in residential, commercial, or hospitality interior design projects

• Proficiency in design software and tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, 3D rendering software, and BIM tools

• Strong understanding of design principles, spatial planning, materials, colour theory, and aesthetic composition

• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability practices in interior design

• Excellent project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously

• Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience mentoring design team members

• Strong portfolio showcasing completed interior design projects of varying scales and styles

• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work

• Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to work within client budgets and constraints

• Professional certification in interior design or a related field is preferred
