Restaurant Area Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Area Manager to join PT Panna Berkat Mandiri in North Jakarta. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to lead and manage multiple restaurant locations, ensuring operational excellence, consistency, and profitability across the area. As Area Manager, you will play a crucial strategic role in driving business growth, maintaining brand standards, and fostering a high-performing team across your designated locations. This position reports directly to senior management and is integral to the success of our retail and food service operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple restaurant locations, ensuring adherence to company standards, policies, and procedures

• Monitor and analyse sales performance, profitability, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for all assigned outlets

• Recruit, train, develop, and motivate restaurant managers and staff to deliver exceptional customer service and operational efficiency

• Implement and maintain quality assurance standards, including food safety, hygiene, and customer satisfaction protocols

• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with company guidelines and identify areas for improvement

• Manage budgets and control costs whilst maintaining service quality and employee retention

• Develop and execute local marketing and promotional strategies to drive customer traffic and brand awareness

• Liaise with head office, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and alignment with company objectives

• Address operational challenges, customer complaints, and staff issues in a timely and professional manner

• Lead initiatives to enhance customer experience and implement continuous improvement programmes

What we're looking for

• Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in restaurant management or multi-site retail operations management

• Proven track record of successfully managing multiple locations and delivering strong financial results

• Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop teams

• Strong understanding of food service operations, including inventory management, supplier relations, and cost control

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in using management systems and data analysis

• Knowledge of food safety regulations, health and hygiene standards, and compliance requirements in Indonesia

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels

• Fluency in Indonesian and English (both spoken and written)

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and point-of-sale (POS) systems

• Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and public holidays when required

• Relevant qualifications in hospitality management, business administration, or related field are advantageous
