Quantity Surveyor

About the role

This role involves preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities, cost estimates, and project budgets, performing quantity take offs based on construction drawings and specifications, and preparing tender documentation. You will evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers, conduct cost analysis, and prepare unit rate calculations. Throughout the project lifecycle, you will monitor project costs, budgets, and cash flow, manage variation orders, progress claims, and final account settlements. You will coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, and Project Management teams, prepare periodic cost reports, and provide recommendations for cost optimization while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and project budgets

• Perform quantity take offs based on construction drawings and specifications

• Prepare tender documentation and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers

• Conduct cost analysis and prepare unit rate calculations

• Monitor project costs, budgets, and cash flow throughout the project lifecycle

• Manage variation orders (VO), progress claims, and final account settlements

• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, and Project Management teams

• Prepare periodic cost reports and provide recommendations for cost optimization

• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and company standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Civil Engineering or related field

• Minimum 3 years of experience in civil works and steel structure installation

• Proficient in Bahasa Indonesia and English (both spoken and written)

• Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, cost estimation, quantity take offs, and cost control

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings (Structural, Architectural, and MEP drawings are an advantage)

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, or other quantity surveying software

• Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and problem solving skills

• Detail oriented, highly organized, and able to work under pressure to meet project deadlines

• Willing to work at Bengalon, East Kalimantan

• Has a personal laptop
