QUALITY ASSURANCE / QA ENGINEER

Qualification Requirements

Education and experience

• Education : Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.

• Work Experience : 2–5 years in Quality Control, Quality Engineering or Dimensional Inspection.

• Relevant experience : At least 1–2 years handling FAI, New Product Introduction (NPI) or New Part Qualification.

• Industry Background : Preferably Manufacturing, Plastic Injection Molding or a similar industry.

• Drawing Interpretation : Able to Read Engineering Drawings, GD&T, Tolerances and Technical Specifications.

• English Proficiency : Able to understand technical specifications and prepare inspection reports in English, if required by The Customer.

Technical competencies

• Engineering Drawing : Interpret dimensions, tolerances, datum references, surface finish and GD&T.

• Measurement Instruments : Use calipers, micrometers, height gauges dial indicators, pin gauges and other relevant instruments.

• Advanced Measurement : Operate CMM, optical measurement systems or profile projectors where applicable.

• First Article Inspection : Prepare an inspection plan, verify drawing characteristics, record actual results, and compile the FAI report.

• Quality Tools : Understand 7 QC Tools, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram and basic statistical analysis.

• Measurement System Analysis : Understand calibration, measurement uncertainty and MSA concepts such as Gage R&R where applicable.

• Nonconformity management : Raise NCRs, segregate nonconforming products and follow up on corrective actions.

• Quality Documentation : Prepare inspection reports, check sheets, traceability records and supporting evidence.

• Process Knowledge : Understand manufacturing processes, control plans, process flow and PFMEA.
