Project Leader / Senior Engineer

To Lead New Project & Back Up for Program Leader Molding in the Engineering Department responsible for leading and managing new product projects from initiation through delivery. This role involves coordinating project teams, liaising with customers, managing schedules and resources, and ensuring projects are delivered on time with quality and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Support delivery of all information of the new product to the relevant department, ensuring that new project documents transfer activities execute according to the planned schedule, coordinate the project team and liaise with customer for progress and resolving issues during transfer activities.

• Support follow up commercial issues with customer or third party for all activities and resources needed to materialise the new project.

• Schedule and monitor program activity to achieve on-time results including follow-up with external suppliers to ensure timely response to action items.

• Assist in preparing project documentations by utilising supplier information, cost standards, technical information from quality, manufacturing engineering & design.

• Supervise creation of bill of material, detailed instructions for manufacturing process of new part, specification for packaging, external supplier specification to provide standard cost structure and instructions for manufacturing.

• Support Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) during project developments, work with the project team to select and recommend procedures, processes or development of methods.

• Perform other assigned duties as deemed necessary by their supervisor.

• Own the overall program performance (schedule, quality, and risk), including developing recovery plans and escalating critical issues in a timely manner.

• Lead and motivate project leaders, set clear priorities, ensure alignment between Tool shop, QA, Production and Supply Chain, and Commercial functions throughout the project lifecycle.

• Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and implementing best practices into subsequent new projects

• Resource management and team development to secure efficient and timely project management

Profile required :

• A minimum of 3 years of engineering experience in global environment, experience in multi-national company will be advantage

• Preferably at least 5 years of experience in Injection Molding Parts/Projects.

• At least 1 year with leadership role, managing number of projects

• Ability to work independently, good leadership skills

• Ability to develop/grow people in their roles

• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills

• Robust interpersonal skills with a good sense and respect for different cultures

• Indonesian (native language / fluent written and oral)

• English (fluent written and oral)
