About the role

PT Bukit Muria Jaya is seeking an experienced QA Raw Material & Calibration Supervisor to join our Quality Assurance & Control team. This is a full-time position based in Karawang, West Java, offering a strategic opportunity to oversee raw material quality management and calibration processes across our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining the highest standards of product quality whilst ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal quality benchmarks. Your leadership will directly impact our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction, making this position integral to our manufacturing excellence objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage raw material inspection and testing procedures to ensure all incoming materials meet specified quality standards before production

• Establish and maintain comprehensive calibration schedules for all testing and measurement equipment used within the facility

• Conduct regular audits of quality control processes, documentation and record-keeping practices to ensure compliance with ISO standards and regulatory requirements

• Train, mentor and supervise QA staff members, providing guidance on proper testing methodologies, calibration procedures and quality documentation

• Develop and implement raw material acceptance and rejection criteria based on specifications and quality requirements

• Manage relationships with external calibration service providers and monitor third-party calibration reports for accuracy and timeliness

• Investigate non-conformances and out-of-specification materials, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions

• Prepare quality reports, performance metrics and trend analysis for management review and continuous improvement initiatives

• Collaborate with procurement, production, and warehouse teams to optimise material handling and storage practices

• Stay informed of industry best practices and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Pulp & Paper Technology

• Minimum 3 years of experience in quality assurance, raw material inspection or calibration management within a paper & packaging manufacturing environment

• Proven supervisory or team leadership experience with demonstrated ability to develop and motivate staff

• Strong knowledge of raw material testing methodologies, quality control procedures and calibration standards

• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025 or equivalent quality management systems

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and precision

• Strong communication skills in Indonesian and English, both written and verbal

• Certification in quality management, calibration or related fields (preferred)

• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis methodologies (preferred)

• Familiarity with paper & cigarette packaging standards e.g., PEFC/CoC certification or SNI standards (preferred)
