Production Manager - Food Manufacturing

Job Purpose 

The Production Manager is responsible for upholding the plant policies and procedures, maintaining safety, quality, and production standards to meet our customer commitments. This role will support the overall success of the company through effective leadership, continuous improvement and collaboration aligned with our Values, Vision and Goals.

Key Accountabilities:

• Develops and implements short and long term strategic plans to ensure manufacturing systems are in place to meet business objectives.

• Oversee the entire production process to ensure products meet Madusari’s quality standards.

• Monitor raw material usage to minimize waste and ensure cost-efficiency in production.

• Ensure products meet quality and safety standards by conducting regular inspections, implementing quality control protocols and addressing any deviations

• Works cross-functionally as needed to ensure the implementation of strategies for safety, sanitation, productivity, and cost saving enhancements.

• Implement efficient production SOPs, and ensure the cleanliness of the production area  in compliance with hygiene and food safety standards (HACCP).

• Drive improvements for overall operations performance by facilitating Continuous Improvement (CI) efforts

• Ensure the compliance of all regulatory guidelines and forge a safe and sound manufacturing environment.

• Hires and retains a diverse, highly qualified staff and provides ongoing performance feedback through coaching and mentoring. 

Qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree holder major from, Food Technology, Engineering and a related field or equivalent experience

• More than 10 years of proven experience in food production, with 3+ years’ experience in a leadership role within manufacturing industry, preferably from Frozen Food & Meat Processing/Production/Factory 

• Extensive knowledge of manufacturing operations; ability to perform day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility for products.

• Solid knowledge of GMP, food safety regulations and quality control standards

• Extensive knowledge of manufacturing safety; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements 

• Strong analytical thinking, leadership skills and ability to work effectively within a team 

• Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

• Detail-oriented, strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills
