About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operations & Business Development professional to join PT Dunia Express Transindo in Pulau Jawa on a full-time basis. This is a strategic role that combines operational excellence with business growth initiatives. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day logistics operations whilst identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to expand our market presence and revenue streams. This position is integral to our company's growth strategy and will have a significant impact on our operational efficiency and market competitiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily warehouse and distribution operations, ensuring optimal efficiency, safety compliance and on-time delivery performance

• Oversee inventory management, stock control and warehouse logistics to minimise costs and maximise space utilisation

• Identify, evaluate and pursue new business development opportunities within the logistics and warehousing sector

• Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance operational productivity and service delivery

• Build and maintain relationships with existing clients, understanding their evolving needs and ensuring customer satisfaction

• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop proposals and pitch services to prospective clients

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular operational reports for management review

• Manage budgets, cost control and profitability across operations and business development activities

• Lead and supervise warehouse and logistics teams to ensure high performance standards

• Ensure compliance with regulations, safety standards and company policies across all operations

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in warehousing, logistics or distribution operations, with at least 5 years in a similar role

• Strong knowledge of supply chain management

• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and data analysis tools

• Strategic thinking with the ability to identify growth opportunities and develop business plans

• Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail and organisational skills

• Understanding of local regulations, safety standards and compliance requirements in Indonesia

• Degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration or a related field is preferred

• Proficiency in English is a plus
