Mandarin Teacher — Mandarin Tuition Centre

Location: Batam, Indonesia
Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time

We are looking for a passionate, patient, and dedicated Mandarin Teacher to join our growing Mandarin Tuition Centre in Batam.

📌 Job Responsibilities

• Conduct Mandarin classes for students according to the centre’s curriculum and teaching materials

• Prepare engaging and age-appropriate lessons based on students’ learning levels

• Teach Mandarin speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills

• Explain Mandarin vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and sentence structures clearly

• Create a positive, encouraging, and enjoyable classroom environment

• Monitor students’ learning progress and provide constructive feedback

• Prepare exercises, worksheets, quizzes, and other learning activities when required

• Communicate students’ progress and learning needs to parents and the administrative team

• Maintain good classroom management and student discipline

• Participate in teachers’ meetings, training sessions, and centre activities

• Continuously improve teaching methods and contribute ideas to enhance students’ learning experience

📌 Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, both spoken and written

• Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; relevant education qualifications are an advantage

• Teaching experience, especially in Mandarin, Chinese language, or tuition centres, is preferred

• Experience teaching children or teenagers is an advantage

• Good pronunciation and understanding of Mandarin

• Friendly, patient, responsible, and enthusiastic

• Able to explain lessons clearly and adapt teaching methods to different students’ abilities

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Creative and willing to develop fun and engaging learning activities

• Able to work independently as well as part of a teaching team

• Applicants based in Batam are preferred
