Factory EHS Safety Officer

About the role

This role is responsible for plant safety production, fire safety, occupational health, environmental compliance, and park EHS inspection work. You will conduct daily workshop patrols to identify equipment safety, operational safety, electrical safety, and fire hazards, issue rectification orders, and follow up until closure.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily workshop patrols to identify equipment safety, operational safety, electrical safety, and fire hazards, issue rectification orders, and follow up until closure

• Be responsible for employee safety training and safety control of special operations

• Manage firefighting equipment, emergency supplies, evacuation routes, emergency drills, and accident records

• Control hazardous waste, workshop 5S, occupational protection, and labor protection equipment management

• Handle workplace injury investigations, cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and reporting for record

• Liaise with park environmental, health, and safety inspections and government safety supervision audits to ensure the plant achieves EHS compliance with zero major accidents

• Establish and manage the Factory Occupational Safety and Health Committee (P2K3), prepare and submit quarterly K3 operational reports to the local Manpower Office, and coordinate routine safety inspections with the Manpower Office

• Manage periodic inspections and annual certification of special equipment, including forklifts, cranes, and pressure vessels, and manage application and renewal of SIO operating licenses for personnel performing specialized work

About you

• Diploma (D3) degree or above; major in Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related disciplines preferred

• Valid Ahli K3 Umum Certification and active SKP (Surat Keputusan Penunjukan) issued by the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker)

• Familiar with Indonesian Safety Act No. 1/1970 and SMK3 regulations; proficient in JSA (Job Safety Analysis), LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), and emergency response procedures

• Minimum 2 years of full-time EHS or K3 safety management experience in manufacturing or large-scale factories; familiar with Indonesian industrial safety regulations and industrial park safety standards

• Fluent in English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing); proficiency in Chinese/Mandarin is a strong plus

• Strong principle-guided mindset, excellent site communication and coordination skills, high stress tolerance, and effective emergency handling capabilities
