Commodity Manager - Indirect

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

About the role

Flex is seeking a results-driven Commodity Manager – Indirect to lead sourcing strategy, supplier management, and cost optimization across indirect spend categories. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency, supplier performance, and scalable procurement solutions across sites.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for indirect spend (e.g., MRO, services, CapEx support)

• Drive cost savings, demand management, and supplier consolidation initiatives

• Lead supplier selection, contract negotiation, and performance management (KPIs/QBRs)

• Partner with operations, engineering, finance, HR, and EHS to support business needs

• Ensure procurement compliance and governance (e.g., No PO No Service)

• Monitor market trends and manage supply risks and continuity plans

• Track and report savings, KPIs, and supplier performance metrics

• Lead and develop procurement team capability

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field (MBA preferred)

• 10+ years of procurement / sourcing experience, preferably in indirect categories

• Experience in multi-site or regional supplier management

• Strong track record in cost reduction, negotiation, and stakeholder management
