Cafe All Rounder

About the role

All-rounder server and cashier position with backup barista responsibilities. The primary focus is on delivering excellent customer service, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean, welcoming front-of-house environment. The role requires coordination across customer service, cashier operations, and kitchen/bar teams to ensure smooth cafe operations.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and serve customers with friendliness, courtesy, and professionalism

• Explain menu items and provide recommendations or information as needed

• Take and ensure customer orders are accurate

• Deliver food and beverages according to orders

• Ensure customer needs are met during their time at the cafe

• Clear and tidy tables after customers finish

• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the cafe during operations

• Receive and record customer orders through the POS system accurately

• Process payments via cash, card, QR, or other payment methods

• Perform cash drawer checks and balance cash at the end of shift

About you

• Ability to maintain accurate order taking and processing

• Proficiency in operating POS systems according to cafe standards

• Capability to handle customer questions and complaints professionally

• Ability to communicate clearly with customers, cashier, bar, and kitchen staff

• Willingness to assist with basic beverage preparation when needed

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and coordinate across departments

• Commitment to maintaining professional communication and attitude with customers and team members
