Authorised Person Electrical (Data Centre)

Key responsibilities

• Overseeing and managing all electrical installations, maintenance, and modifications within data centre facilities in compliance with relevant regulations and standards

• Conducting regular inspections, testing, and certification of electrical systems and equipment to ensure safety and compliance

• Approving electrical work carried out by contractors and internal teams, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety protocols

• Managing electrical safety documentation, including electrical installation certificates and compliance records

• Advising senior management and operational teams on electrical safety matters and regulatory compliance requirements

• Responding to electrical emergencies and overseeing fault diagnosis and remedial works

• Liaising with regulatory authorities and third-party certifiers to maintain necessary certifications and approvals

• Maintaining detailed records of all electrical systems, maintenance activities, and safety inspections

• Training and mentoring electrical staff on safety procedures and compliance requirements

• Planning preventative maintenance programmes and managing electrical system upgrades

What we're looking for

• Current Authorised Person Electrical (APE) certification or equivalent professional qualification in electrical engineering recognised in Indonesia

• Minimum 5+years experience in electrical engineering, with substantial experience in data centre or mission-critical facility environments

• In-depth knowledge of electrical safety standards, building codes, and data centre-specific electrical requirements (including power distribution, backup systems, and cooling infrastructure)

• Strong understanding of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and generator systems

• Proficiency in electrical design software and data centre infrastructure management tools

• Excellent knowledge of Indonesian electrical regulations and compliance requirements

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects whilst maintaining meticulous attention to detail and safety standards

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical teams and senior stakeholders

• Problem-solving capability and the ability to make sound judgements under pressure

• Professional certifications such as IEE Wiring Regulations, ISO 50001, or data centre design certifications are highly desirable
